Dr. Aamer Farooq is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine, and practices at our Clay office. Dr. Farooq earned his Doctor of Medicine from Nishtar Medical College in Multan, Pakistan before completing his residency at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Before joining our CSNF family in 2018, Dr. Farooq practiced medicine in Arkansas, where he was voted one of the “Best Hematologists/Oncologists in Arkansas” by AY Magazine.

During his medical school years, cancer touched his personal life when a cousin he was very close to passed away from breast cancer in her 20s. This experience gave him a new perspective on cancer care, which he carried with him through his residency and fellowship programs. “I like to give my patients the most up-to-date treatment options, information, and advice; I try to give them the care I would want given to my family,” he says. “Treating cancer has made me more humble,” he continues, “and I appreciate life and its blessings more than I did before becoming an oncologist.”

Always keeping up to date with the latest oncology advancements and clinical trial results, Dr. Farooq says “I think I owe it to my patients to best serve them in the ever-evolving oncology field by putting in as much research time as I can in order to find the best treatment for each individual.”

When not in the office, Dr. Farooq is a devoted husband and father who enjoys spending time outside with his family.
