April Chin, APRN, is an advanced practitioner at our Beaches location. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida and her Master of Science in Nursing from Loyola University in Chicago.

A Jacksonville native, April is thrilled to be back home, caring for patients in her community.

“CSNF is an organization whose mission is compassionate and experienced care,” she says. “This resonated with me profoundly, and it’s why I wanted to join the team! I’m proud to be a part of this mission and work alongside experts in the hematology/oncology field.”

Although she has never had a personal experience with cancer, April believes the relationships she’s built since becoming a nurse in 2016 have significantly shaped who she is today.

“When I started my career in medicine, I was a new nursing graduate without much lived experience in treating cancer patients. Since then, I’ve been shaped by the patients I’ve encountered. It’s such an intimate experience to care for someone with cancer, and my patients and their families have become like my own family. It’s been an honor to share in their tears, laughter, triumphs, and everything in between. I’m excited to build new connections here at CSNF.”

Outside of work, April enjoys spending time with her husband and children, baking in the kitchen, and enjoying the Florida sun.
