SAMER SALAMEKH, MD, DABR

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Samer Salamekh is board-certified in radiation oncology and practices at our Fleming Island and Riverside RO locations. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of Michigan, Dr. Salamekh earned his Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University.

He comes to CSNF from the University of Texas Southwestern Dallas, where he has spent the last four years completing his radiation oncology residency while serving as chief resident.

Dr. Salamekh likes to get to know his patients and understand what is most important to them to “provide the best treatment options and explain the process in a way that alleviates their concerns.”

“I would like my patients to feel comfortable asking questions regarding any aspect of their care. Cancer treatment is both very individualized and different from what most patients have previously experienced. It’s important to me that they feel informed throughout the process.”

He adds: “It’s been a privilege to have participated in so many patients’ cancer journeys. Their stories provide constant motivation to seek the latest breakthroughs and participate in research that improves treatment.”

When not in the office, Dr. Salamekh enjoys running, trying new places to eat, going to the beach, and spending time with his family and friends.
