STEVEN SIEGEL, MD

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Steven Siegel is board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine and practices at our Clay location. Born and raised in New York, Dr. Siegel received his Bachelors in Anthropology before moving to Illinois to earn his Doctor of Medicine from Loyola University. He then went on to complete his residency and fellowship programs at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Siegel found and joined CSNF in 1988, and was impressed by the hospital where he worked and the expertise of his fellow physicians. After over 30 years with CSNF, those opinions have not changed: “I started here with one other individual in 1988 and I’ve watched this practice grow; it took a lot of care and dedication, but the practice we have built is truly like no other.”

Working with patients is the most rewarding part of his job; his cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment as CSNF several years ago has allowed him to connect to them in a new way. “When I was diagnosed, there was no doubt in my mind that I would be treated at CSNF,” he says, continuing: “being able to relay my story of my treatment and success as a CSNF patient creates stronger bonds and a deeper trust between me and my patients. It’s special for them to know that I’ve been in their shoes.”

When not at the office, Dr. Siegel enjoys spending time on the golf course, or with his wife and two grown children.
