STEVEN SIEGEL, MD

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Steven Siegel is board certified in medical oncology and internal medicine and practices at our St. Vincent’s Clay location. Dr. Siegel began practicing medicine in 1988, when he joined CSNF. Dr. Siegel is especially interested in the complexity of the issues facing his patients and the disease process.

He joined Cancer Specialists of North Florida because he was impressed by the hospital where he works and the expertise of his fellow physicians. Working with patients is the most rewarding part of the job for Dr. Siegel. He also enjoys the CSNF staff and his colleagues. Dr. Siegel is optimistic about new cancer treatments on the horizon that will unlock the role of intracellular mechanisms that promote malignancy. Already, he says, the addition of treatments such as Rituxan and Herceptin are helping with the success of cancer treatment.

Dr. Siegel grew up in Valley Stream in Long Island, New York. Outside of his practice, Dr. Siegel enjoys spending time with his family or on the golf course. He has a wife, daughter, and son.
