BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Yousif Abubakr is a board-certified in medical oncology and practices at CSNF’s Southside location.

Dr. A, as his patients know him, earned his medical degree in his home country of Sudan in 1986. After moving to America, he completed training at various hospitals, including his fellowship at Wayne State University in Michigan.

Since joining the practice in 1996, Dr. A has been a key part of CSNF’s history, having served as the CSNF Board President from 2012-2024. Additionally, he served for several years as Chief of Staff and Chairman of Hematology/Oncology at Memorial Hospital.

Dr. A enjoys working with his colleagues and staff to provide the world-class care patients deserve, without having to travel far from home. About his patients, he says:

“What inspires me is the faith that my patients have, as well as their will to fight. I think, ‘if they can keep going on the hardest days, then so can I.’”

Dr. A provides complete care for patients with cancer and blood disorders, including lung, colon, and bladder cancer.

Outside the office, Dr. A enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and playing golf.
