YOUSIF A. ABUBAKR, MD

BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Yousif Abubakr is board certified in medical oncology and practices at our Southside location. Born in Khartoum, Sudan, “Dr. A” (as he’s affectionately known by his patients) received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Khartoum. He later trained in Khartoum University Hospitals, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital and Wayne State University Medical Center, both in Michigan. Since joining CSNF in 1996, Dr. A has become an integral part of the practice’s foundation, including, most recently, serving as the President of the CSNF Board.

In addition to his leadership at CSNF, Dr. A is an important part of the Jacksonville, FL medical community. He has previously served as a Chairman of the Hematology/Oncology Section at Memorial Hospital, and as Chairman of the Clinical Professional Review Council at Memorial Medical Center. In addition, he served as the Chief of Staff at Memorial Hospital and headed the credentialing committee there.

About his many years at CSNF, Dr. A says “I enjoy the collegiality, comradery, staff, and most of all, our patients”. “The will to fight and faith of my patients is what inspires me,” he adds. When not caring for patients, Dr. A enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures with his children.
