On June 23, 2025, Cancer Specialists of North Florida’s (CSNF) Southside office relocated from Booth Road, across from Memorial Hospital to a brand-new, state-of-the-art clinic complete with an adjacent imaging center.
In addition to its team of exceptional nurses, licensed clinical social workers, financial counselors, medical assistants, and registered dietitians, the new clinic features 16 exam rooms, 30 infusion chairs, CSNF’s central lab services, and—for the first time—a dedicated imaging center equipped with two advanced imaging machines.
After more than 20 years at their previous location, CSNF’s Southside physicians made the thoughtful decision to move in search of a well-earned and long-anticipated upgrade.
“The patients of Southside deserved more,” says Dr. Unni Thomas. “After such a long time in the same space, we were excited for the opportunity to give them just that.”
Dr. Thomas and his colleagues—Dr. Yousif Abubakr, Dr. Sejal Kuthiala, and Dr. Bijoy Telivala—have a combined 60 years of experience and have each spent their entire careers with CSNF at the Southside clinic.
“Watching the entire practice grow, especially our Southside office, has been wonderful,” says Dr. Telivala. “Growth is a good thing—especially when it means more room for better technology, like our new imaging machines.”
The Imaging Center is a first for CSNF.
“We’re proud to now offer the latest in diagnostic imaging, in-house, to all patients,” says Dr. Kuthiala. “Our new MRI and PET/CT machines mean better-quality images and faster results. Creating a dedicated space for these services has been a long-standing goal—and we’re thrilled to see it realized.”
Dr. Abubakr, one of CSNF’s founding physicians, reflected on the journey:
“I’ve had the privilege of working at CSNF for nearly 30 years. Along with two of our other original physicians, I helped build the Booth Road facility. Some patients have been with us since that very beginning. Our mission has always been to provide the most advanced care possible—so getting to walk into this new space with them is an absolute honor.”
