BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Ayed Ayed is board-certified in medical oncology and practices at our Riverside and Northside locations.

Originally from Palestine, Dr. Ayed earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Jordan. After college, Dr. Ayed moved to Gainesville and completed his residency at the University of Florida.

He then moved to Rochester, MN, where he completed his hematology/oncology fellowship at the Mayo Clinic. After finishing his training, he returned to North Florida, a place he had grown to love.

Dr. Ayed developed his passion for oncology during high school when doctors diagnosed his uncle with cancer. As a result of that experience, he saw firsthand the importance of clear communication, symptom management, and patient support. This inspired him to pursue a career in medicine and help patients through their cancer journeys.

Today, Dr. Ayed continues to emphasize those same values in his practice. “Through witnessing my uncle’s experience, I learned that good communication and symptom management are paramount. This is something I try to emphasize with all my patients,” he shares.

In addition, Dr. Ayed believes that providing patients with information helps them feel more confident in their care.”Keeping my patients well-informed makes them more empowered and confident in their treatment plan,” he says.

Dr. Ayed provides complete care for patients with cancer and blood disorders, including lymphoma, leukemia, and CAR-T and other cellular therapies.

For Dr. Ayed, caring for patients and serving his community is a privilege. In fact, he says, “Serving my patients, colleagues, and community is my greatest privilege.”

When not in the office, Dr. Ayed enjoys gardening and vegetarian cooking. He and his loved ones spend time exploring the outdoors through hiking and kayaking.
