Dr. Unni Thomas is board-certified in medical oncology, internal medicine, and hematology, and practices at our Southside location. Originally from India and born into a family of physicians, Dr. Thomas received both his Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery and Doctor of Medicine from Madras Medical College in Chennai.

After losing his father to metastatic prostate cancer, he began to consider oncology as a career: “I was inspired by the intelligence and compassion of his treating oncologists,” he says. Those two qualities are the exact ones that drew him to CSNF: “I joined this practice because I wanted an organization who was going to put the interests of the patients first, no matter what,” he says. “Patients at CSNF are always treated with courtesy, dignity, compassion, and respect.”

Optimistic about the advancements in cancer treatment that are on the horizon, Dr. Thomas is especially thankful that CSNF is constantly remaining up to date on the latest treatments and is able offer “state-of-the-art care that is both efficient and compassionate”.

When not in the office or playing his favorite spot, golf, Dr. Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
