Amber Feinman, DO is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine, and practices at our Clay location. A Florida native, Dr. Feinman received her Bachelor of Arts & Science at Florida Atlantic University before earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University. After graduation, Dr. Feinman completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at Navy Medical Center in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Born and raised in South Florida, Dr. Feinman and her husband decided to settle in Jacksonville after spending several years in the Navy, due to close family ties in the area. “My mom, stepdad, brothers, nieces and nephews all live in town, and the rest of my family is within driving distance,” says Dr. Feinman. “It’s just like I tell my patients – being close to family, or people that feel like family, is essential, especially during difficult times.”
This is why, Dr. Feinman further explains, she does her best to treat all of her patients like they’re a member of her own family:
“The relationships I form with my patients is my favorite part of my job. Being able to welcome them into my ‘family’ during such a difficult time allows me to make a positive impact on their lives, beyond just treating their cancer. I’ve found that one of the most important things that I can do for them is just listen – it can be profoundly therapeutic.”
CSNF’s mission of delivering personalized care, close to home, stood out to Dr. Feinman, and in part, drew her to the company.
“I’m so impressed with how successful the practice is,” she explains. “It is a true testament to the top-quality care patients are receiving, both physically and mentally. I’m thrilled to be joining the CSNF family; it’s a privilege and honor to be granted the opportunity to be a part of so may patient’s stories.”
When not in the office, Dr. Feinman enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young children, ages one and three. Together, they enjoy visiting petting zoos, children’s museums, getting ice cream and spending time outdoors.
