Augusta Slocum is a Nurse Practitioner at our Palm Coast location. Slocum received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Midwestern State University, before pursuing her master’s degree in nursing at Texas Tech University.

Her background includes invaluable experience in level II trauma centers, equipping her with the expertise to provide compassionate care to patients of all ages.

“My philosophy when it comes to helping patients is to fully address overall wellness, and not just focus on the diagnosis at hand.” Because of this, she believes healthcare gives a unique window into people’s lives, and an opportunity to positively affect their lives and wellbeing.

Although not affected by cancer personally, her previous experience in the ER influenced her own philosophy: “living my life with the present in mind.” Having often been the person discussing a new cancer diagnosis, this philosophy has altered the  outlook she has on her own life.

When not in the office, you can find Slocum enjoying nature with her husband, two children, and two dogs. “We love going to the beach and spending time outdoors as much as possible” says Slocum. “We are incredibly grateful to be living in Florida.”
