Crystal Schatz, RD, LDN, is a registered dietitian at our Riverside and Northside locations. Crystal earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science in 2015 from California State University, San Bernardino.

When Crystal was just eight years old, her brother was diagnosed with brain cancer. “He was only nine years old, and my parents worked hard to give him the best quality of life as possible in the final few months of his life,” she says.

The example her parents set while caring for her brother, plus all she learned during her time in school, gave Crystal the tools she needs to excel in an oncology-based field. “When it comes to helping patients, I believe doing what is best for the patients is more important,” she says. “Treating them like family and making sure they each have individualized and practical nutritional plans are important and often effective. It’s important my patients trust and feel comfortable with me.”

Originally from California, Crystal relocated to North Florida for her husband’s job, and was thrilled to begin working at CSNF. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter and traveling both near and far.
