Dr. Jessica Bahari-Kashani is board certified in radiation oncology and practices at our Fleming Island and Southpoint locations. Born and raised in a small town in Oregon, Dr. Bahari completed her Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology at the University of Washington at just 19 years old. Upon graduation, she became fascinated with cancer genetics and spent two years at Oregon Health & Sciences University researching colon cancer.
She discovered her passion for clinical patient care while volunteering, and even before starting medical school she was drawn towards radiation oncology. Upon graduation from the University of Minnesota Medical School in 2007, she was awarded a research grant studying molecular medicine. She began an internship in Chicago, then headed back home to the west coast, to complete her radiation oncology residency at the University of California Irvine.
Dr. Bahari’s special interests include breast cancer, lung cancer, and gastrointestinal malignancies. An avid learner, Dr. Bahari regularly attends national conferences and is an active member of several professional organizations.
When not at work, Dr. Bahari and her husband, a Gastroenterologist in Jacksonville, enjoy spending their time traveling, relaxing on the water, and chasing after their children.
