MEREDITH HARLOW, MSW, LCSW

BIOGRAPHY

Helping others inspired Jacksonville native Meredith Harlow to choose a career in social work. Now, her work with the Cancer Specialists of North Florida Southside office allows her to get to know patients and their families as she assists them with the challenges that arise after a cancer diagnosis.

In talking about her career, Meredith says, “I love to see the relationships between the staff and the patients. Patients know the staff by name, and the staff really know the patients by name. They create such a warm and inviting atmosphere for patients and their families, which I think is rare, especially in such a big practice.”

Prior to joining Cancer Specialists of North Florida, Meredith worked at St. Vincent’s Medical Center for four years, two years on the Infectious Disease Unit and two years on the Oncology and Stroke Units. She has also worked as a facilitator/counselor for Kids Together Against Cancer, a support group for children who have a parent or guardian with cancer.

When not working, Meredith enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband, a physical therapist, have three children. They like to travel, including trips to visit extended family in the Northeast each summer.
