CSNF’s Patient Assistance Foundation raised a record-breaking $217,000 at their 2024 spring fundraiser, Cocktails for a Cause, on May 30th at Top Golf Jacksonville.
The Patient Assistance Foundation (The Foundation) was started over 20 years ago to help qualifying oncology patients in need. Currently, they provide assistance with day-to-day living expenses that sometimes fall to the wayside due to the cost of cancer treatment, including but not limited to, rent, utilities, groceries, and gas.
“Cocktails for a Cause has been ongoing for many years, and it never ceases to amaze me to see the growing support, year after year, for this phenomenal cause,” says Dr. Sejal Kuthiala. “Our Foundation events have raised millions of dollars to help patients in need, and being a part of this organization is a true gift.”
With over 85 sponsors and 300 individual supporters, this year’s Cocktails for a Cause was the largest in its 20 years.
“I was incredibly impressed with the turnout from sponsors and how much everyone genuinely cares about The Foundation’s mission,” adds Dr. Ayed Ayed. “I get to see first-hand how this benefits our patients and alleviates some of their burden as they go through their cancer journey.”
To date, The Foundation has assisted over 1,800 patients with bills totaling upwards of $2.3 million.
